Poem: sabotageI can not yet remember
I am not yet allowed to forget
Was it something I said
Something I didn't...
I never...
There wasn't the time
Or perhaps it was how I looked in the light...
In that certain light
In the dark...
Did my true colors show through?
The red from these eyes in ever glow
Monsters... For us to the shadows
Did they swirl you with stories of devour
Fill your heart with doubt...
The very breath we breathed
Was to wither and die
I am the instigator
Smooth to the burn
Where those scars lay on ice
I know it all too soon
Before you even speak of it
Call it what you will
Preconceived notions, precognition
Awaken in sweat to chokes of a self fulfilled prophecy
For a glimpse, just for a stare
Could our hearts be trapped, trained, and traded
I am the sabotage
to fool ourselves
forces of will to control disillusion
it's all routine to spin around the sun
Sunrise to sunset
this design so flawed
Yet would it ever be so right
Just to fall asleep in your arms
